A 36 years old lady underwent repair of abdominal aortic anuerysm at FIC on 1st of June 2016. She was diagnosed to have this condition for several years and visited different hospitals for seeking surgical treatment without any success. This is one of the most challenging conditions of cardiovascular surgery which requires advanced level of skills, equipment and post operative care.  

The operation was conducted by a team of surgeons and anesthetists led by Dr. Anjum Jalal the Executive Director of FIC. The operation took two and half hours and the patient made decent recovery without any complications. With this operation FIC has crossed another milestone of excellence. It is an honor enjoyed by very few institutions in this country.

Many such patients are in the queue and would be operated in the coming days on regular basis.
